What is a Catalina

What is a Catalina? Catalina Category Marketing (CCM) rewards purchases of promoted products with “Catalinas”, also known as “check-out coupons”. These offer incentives good on your next shopping trip to that retailer. There is usually a 2- to 4-week window on any given program/incentive promotion. (information provided by Hot Coupon World)

IF you thought you were supposed to receive a Catalina (checkout coupon) at the register and nothing printed after you completed your purchase...
1.If no checkout coupons at all printed from the machine, check to see if there's a light blinking on the front of it. The blinking light would indicate an machine error, such as no ink or an empty paper roll.

2.Refer to a store ad (or posted sign) for the details of the Catalina offer. Double check: did you purchase the correct brand and quantity, the specified size? If you followed all of the requirements, then you're entitled to your checkout coupon.

3.If you have time, visit the customer service desk and explain your situation. Many times, assistants will be able to help you in the store, often reimbursing you with cash for the expected amount.

4.If customer service is unable to help you, contact Catalina Marketing directly at 1-888-8COUPON (and press 3). This would be handy information to have in your coupon binder, if you have one! The Catalina company should be able to look up your transaction for reference, especially if you used a shopper card (like those used at Kroger).
